Forest conservation is a critical investment for all…water protection, mitigation of gases that cause the greenhouse effect, conservation of biodiversity and scenic beauty are some of the invaluable services provided by forests.

Through a Costa Rican government company called FONAFIFO, Reserva Conchal is contributing to preserve existing forests and regenerate new ecosystems by addressing financial resources that are invested on these effective and long-term purposes. These funds are also used to compensate hundreds of forest owners for ensuring the growth of the forest cover. Now, more than 7,000 families benefit from this program, improving also the quality of life of many communities.

With these positive environmental actions Reserva Conchal has proudly contributed with Environmental Service Certificates for the important carbon fixation on our surroundings. The carbon fixation process in nature compensates the harmful Carbon Dioxide production on our everyday activities.

Reserva Conchal’s goal is to become a carbon neutral community.
